Martha Buchanan, MD

Dr. Martha Buchanan is AccessNurse’s Adult Medical Director and responsible for clinical oversight of the call center and clinical staff. In her role, she also provides executive guidance to the clinical risk management programs and serves on AccessNurse’s Quality Improvement (QI) Committee, overseeing quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Buchanan brings over 26 years of healthcare experience to AccessNurse, including experience in public health, university health, family medicine, and health centers. She is a Carson Newman College and East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine graduate. Additionally, Dr. Buchanan is board-certified in family practice.
